Upgrade Questions

Q. If I upgrade to the full version of PathSmart from the demo, or from the full version of PathSmart to Pathagoras, will I lose any of my settings or path assignments?

A. No.

Q. If I upgrade to a new version of Word, will I need to upgrade to a different version of Pathagoras?

A. No.

Q. If I upgrade to Windows 2007, will I also need to upgrade to a different version of Pathagoras?

A. Not to a different version, but a simple reinstall may be necessary. You will not lose any of your current settings.

Q. Do I need to uninstall Pathagoras before installing a newer version?

A. Absolutely not.

Q. Do I need to exit Word® before installing a newer version?

A. Not for the initial steps. Pathagoras can create the upgrade connection for you automatically. Click the "Upgrades” tab in the Utilities/Settings screen. Click the <Upgrade> button at the left and follow the prompts. Once the newer version of Pathagoras is downloading, you should then exit both Word and Outlook.

Q. Are there any special upgrade instructions if I have the network version?

A. If you have a Pathagoras multi-license pack, read the instructions found here to speed up your network upgrades, and to take advantage of the Smart Upgrade features.
