'Pathagorizing' text

Pathagoras Tip of the Week

'Pathagorizing' your documents.

Manually:
While Pathagoras provides many tools to help you in creating variables and adding optional text, don't forget that you can accomplish these same goals manually and using plain keyboard characters.

For example, a variable can be created simply by typing a square bracket, a variable name and a closing square bracket. This is a variable: [Customer Name]. Pretty simple, and very easy.

Multiple choice variables are just as easy. Simply type the choices within the square brackets, separating each choice by forward slashes. This is a multiple choice variable: [Chocolate/Vanilla/Rocky Road/Strawberry Parfait].

Optional text can be created simply by typing a 'curly' bracket, the text that you want to be optional, and a closing curly bracket. This is an optional text block: {Shipping costs are included in the quoted price.}
