Pathagoras Tip of the Week

Share a Common IDB folder: It is easy for multiple users to share IDB records. Just make sure that everyone is 'pointed' to the same folder.

To point Pathagoras to a new location, display the Instant Database entry and the Instant Database Settings & Tools sub-entry. Click the tab titled "File Locations."

Next, click inside of the text box adjacent to the Personal Data Record. Either manually type the folder name where the common records are stored or use the button at the left of the screen to navigate to that folder. Repeat (if desired) for IDB masks.

NOTE: Masks and Personal Data Records can be stored independently from each other, or in the same folder. By default, they are stored together in the folder called "C:\program files\Pathagoras\IDBS"
 
(Of course, if you don't want to share any more, point the IDB on each networked computer to different locations.)
