Document Assembly
Create a 'Checklist' of Terms:
Sometimes the 'selector' of clauses and the 'assembler' of clauses
are not the same person. And (gasp) sometimes the 'selector' of
clauses doesn't know much about computers! To assist the selector of
clauses (or for a thousand other reasons), you may wish to print out
a list of terms in a selected book. That way the selector can check
off the desired terms without having to even touch the computer.
To generate the checklist:
- Select a book from the Document
Assembly (Libraries & Books) Screen. Once selected, the
screen expands and a new box
displays in the center of the screen.
- Check the "Printable
Checklist"
option. Click the Next button and follow the prompts to create the
type of list you want. (If you use the prefix/suffix naming style
for your clause names, make sure to print both 'Names and Subjects'.
Otherwise, you most likely can just print "Names".)
The checklist that Pathagoras generates is a standard, fully editable,
Word document. You can change the margins and
the layout. You can add lines so that the author can insert the
client or customer's personal information, quantities, colors etc.
as he or she is selecting the clauses to be assembled.
If used as a
checklist, keep a stack of them in the "boss's" office. A completed
checklist can then be passed on to the document
assembly operator who assembles and personalizes the requested
document.
The final product can be used as a checklist (described
above), or you can simply print one out for each book as an office reference.
