MultiUser

Upgrades

In previous upgrades, new features focused on ‘general program’ operations and were published for all users, single and multilicensed alike. This release is chock full of new features especially for my multi-licensed users.

(Single-license users don't despair there is still a lot in it for you, too). See pages 3 & 4 for the important ‘general’ upgrades.

New networking tricks:

There are now features in place that provide automatic notices to each registered users when a user on the network (1) modifies a common library or profile or (2) updates Pathagoras to the latest, greatest version.

A tiny bit of ‘setup’ is required for established networked systems. It involves clicking the Network Setup tab in the Utilities/Settings screen and simply re-setting (actually, re-navigating to) the Common Profiles Path in order to get the <Register> button to display. Then, click the <Register> button.

That is it.

If your system is not fully networked, just follow the steps for the networking that I earlier mailed to you OR see www.pathagoras.com/features/networking.htm.

Regardless of whether you have multiple licenses, you should download the update. There are enough 'general' upgrades to make the upload worthwhile. But if you have multiple licenses, this download is a must.

your Microsoft© Word documents.

It just doesn't get any easier than this.

SubscribeText Box: Upgrade Instructions:
The upgrade of Pathagoras (multi-user) is almost identical to the steps outlined in previous releases, except that one user should be designated as a ‘primary upgrader.’ This primary upgrader should save the downloaded upgrade to his or her desktop where it will later be transferred to the Common Profiles Path (CPP). Then, all other users on the network can perform a SmartUpgrade (the button at the right side of the Utilities/Settings>>Upgrades screen.)
