Summary: When the variables in a document are prefixed with identical !groupnames!, and  are subsequently displayed in the Instant Database screen, the selection of one member of the group will automatically cause the selection of all other members of the same group.

A classic signature line in a will or trust:

On this day personally appeared [TESTATOR NAME], known to me to be the [!t!testator/testatrix], who, after being duly sworn, declared to me that the above instrument is [!t!his/her] Last Will and Testament and that [!t!he/she] had willingly signed the same as [!t!his/her] free and voluntary act for the purposes therein expressed; and in the presence of the witnesses, did subscribe [!t!his/her] name, and that the [!t!testator/testatrix] at the time of the execution of said Will was over the age of 18 years and of sound and disposing mind and memory.

Further, on this day came [Witness 1 Name] and [Witness 2 Name], as witnesses, and each declared that they were personally acquainted with the [!t!testator/testatrix], and they did in [!t!his/her] presence and at [!t!his/her]  request, sign their names as witnesses to the above document.

A summary of a visit to the doctor:

The patient is [*a/an] [age] year old, well-nourished [!patient!male/female] infant. The patient was accompanied by [!patient!his/her] [!parent!mother/father] who has reported that [!parent!his/her] [!patient!son/daughter] has been running a significant fever.

The child’s temperature is now [temperature], !patient!his/her] blood pressure is [blood pressure] and [!patient!he/she] weighs [weight] pounds.

A disposition of a family heirloom:

I give my precious [heirloom] to my [!ch!son/daugther/children] to be safely held by [!ch!him/her/them] until [!ch!his death/her death/the death of the last surviving child], and then such [item] shall be given to [name of charity].

(Remember, it is the position, not the inherent nature of the choice, that controls.)

A trip to the pet store:

[!Owner!He/she] went with [!owner!his/her] dog to the pet store because [!owner!he/she] wanted to buy [!dog!him/her] a new collar. Blue is [!owner!his/her] favorite color.

(Of course, the 'actor' for the second sentence could have been !dog!. If you change the groupname, you will get a different result.)

Notes The !groupname! can be anything. A single letter, a word or a group of words. It should, however, be self-descriptive enough for the end user to understand its reference. The colors above are for illustration purposes. Colors are NOT required.
