Merging Data with Document |

Closely tied to the features above is the ability of Pathagoras/Excel to control Pathagoras/Word functions. a. From P/E you can select a book from a P/W library, display and select the forms and documents in the selected book b. You can select an IDB record that you want to apply to the form or document selected in a. c. You can press a single button in Excel which commands Word to open, locate the document selected in a. and merge it with the data record selected in b.
Merging data with a document: You are again allowed two approaches: From Excel: Click the <AutoMerge w/Word> element of the toolbar (noted by blue arrow in figure 1). A screen similar to the one below will appear. Select the document or form and the Personal Data Record you want to merge together.
