Confirming that Pathagoras is installed

   Word (or another recently installed add-in to Word) sometimes causes Pathagoras (and other add-ins) to stop working for no apparent reason.

   There are three classic indicators that Pathagoras has stopped running.

•You don't see the Pathagoras tab in Word's toolbar. I.e., Pathagoras has 'disappeared.'

•You see the Pathagaoras tab, but only a partial set (typically two, instead of four) of Pathagoras buttons.

•You receive an error message that Pathagoras has failed to load.

Whether Pathagoras has  'disappeared' or is simply 'partially' running, restoring Pathagoras is usually a simple matter of reminding Word that Pathagoras really does exist.

   Here are the reconnect steps.(In 4 'words', discussed below, these are the steps: "File, Options, Add-ins, Word Add-ins")

1.Click 'File' at the far left-hand side of Word's toolbar.

2.Click 'Options' button in the lower left corner of the new overlay. (If the Options button doesn't appear, click the 'More. . .' button.) You should see this screen:.

3. Click the 'Add-Ins' item in the left panel. The View and manage Microsoft Office Add-ins screen will appear and you should see a screen similar to Figure 2 below.

4. At the bottom, look for the "Manage" drop down. Click it 'down' to display listed options. Select "Word Add-ins". Press the 'Go' button

5. You should now see a screen similar to Figure 3 below.

6.  Most likely, the checkbox adjacent to Pathagoras.dotm is not checked. Check it.

7.  Press 'OK'.

6.  If you do not see Pathagoras in the above screen, try reinstalling Pathagoras from your original "Pathagoras Setup.exe" file (the installation package) that you downloaded (no need to uninstall).
