    Innovative Software Products of Virginia (ISPV) and the creator of Pathagoras™ recognize that you expect privacy and security for the non-public personal information we collect from you. We fully understand the need to safeguard sensitive information about you and we maintain standards and procedures designed to prevent misuse of this information.

    We collect, retain, and use information about you only to help us administer our products and services. We do not provide non-public personal information to other companies including independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing companies.

    We gather information about you to properly identify you, to validate your identity, and to verify any entitlements to upgrades. Address information is gathered to assure entitlements to upgrades and bulk and site licenses.

    Please keep in mind that the www.pathagoras.com Web site contains links to other sites, in particular for the processing of orders using third parties. Pathagoras is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites, but Pathagoras principals have studied and are satisfied that the first tier of links (to process the credit card transaction, but not to other links on such site) properly protect the privacy of those who link thereto.

    The federal government has set online privacy standards and has identified the following principles to help ensure the protection of a consumer's non-public personal information. We intend to abide by those standards, and to that end provide the following notices.

    It is our policy to treat your information as confidential. We do not and will not disclose information to third parties about your account or the transactions you make, except, and ONLY, in the following situations:

1. It is necessary to disclose your non-public personal information to the companies which will process your credit card transaction which you have authorized. Those processors all maintain high standards of confidentiality, and maintain high levels of security in effecting the transaction in order to ensure the protection of you non-public personal information.
2. We may disclose your non-public personal information to other sources only if you give us your written permission, but we anticipate never asking for the permission or disclosing the information.

    We simply do not, and will not sell information about our customers to any third party. You will never receive mailings (e-mail or otherwise) about products from third party vendors which derive from any transaction you make on this site.

Access

    We have procedures that limit access to personally identifiable, non-public personal information only to principals of Innovative Software Products of Virginia, authors of Pathagoras and the PathSmart/SaveSmart suite.

Security

    We practice regular safety precautions in maintaining customer lists and in preventing them from unauthorized disclosure and to prevent unauthorized access to, or unauthorized disclosure of, confidential information about you. Given the limited amount of information gathered from you and preserved on local medium (your name, site address and e-mail address, maintained in a passcoded database of customers and stored on non-remotely accessible disk drives of the company's computers) we maintain no extraordinary security procedures. If you purchase by credit card, we are satisfied that the third party handlers of the credit transaction (currently RegSoft™ and PayPal™ ) have implemented appropriate security standard and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to confidential information about you.

    You have chosen to do business with us, and we recognize our obligation to keep the non-public personal information you provide to us secure and confidential. We do not sell information about our customers to any third party.
