Before you can perform the customizing steps described below, you must open Pathagoras.dot.
It must also be the 'active document.'
To display Pathagoras.dot, type 'P999p' onto a blank screen. Then press the trigger key <Alt-G>.
You should see the Pathagoras image, a release number and release date of the currently installed version.
In the previous section, you moved the Pathagoras toolbar to an icon, but as a practical matter, it still will take two clicks to gain access to it. These steps will allow you one-click access to Pathagoras' most commonly used features. It will allow you to create a highly personalized toolbar, similar to the MyPathagoras toolbar you can create in 2003 and earlier versions.
| 1. | Open "Pathagoras.dot." See yellow-highlighted text above. It must be the active document. |
| 2. | Activate the Word Options screen. This is the screen you should see: |
3. Click Customize. From the "Choose Commands from:" dropdown list near the top of the page, select Macros.
4. A series of weird names will populate the Macros list. These reflect the cryptic program names that Pathagoras' author and Microsoft have assigned to the various functions.
| • | The ones that start with vbPathagoras. are the ones from which you will choose. Most of the commands are sub-commands and will not serve any practical purpose if moved to a primary level. |
| • | But those in the following list will. Move one or more of the following entries from the left column to the right: |

Word2007 offers a wide variety of icons to represent a wide variety of activities. Unfortunately, none are the same as those used in the 2003 and prior versions. Below is a list of the available icons. We recommend the ones circled below to represent the respective Pathagoras function, but you are free to choose any other you wish. Regardless of which one you chose, after everything is saved, the name of the function will appear when you hover over the icon in the menu bar.
Example: In the below examples, we changed the name of the vbpathagoras.module11.DocAssembly" entry to a less cryptic "Document Assembly" and vbpathagoras.module1.PathSmart to simply PathSmart. (For the latter, we had to scroll down the screen.

(scroll the icon page down to reveal the remainder of the available icons.)

We also recommend that you place a 'separator' character (it's in the list of objects) before the first and after the last Pathagoras entry. That way you can preserve the grouping.
When you are all done, you should see something like this (the new Pathagoras icons are shown beginning to the right of the second "spacer":
